What type of identification is accepted?

Who can be a witness for my documents?

A witness must be a disinterested party. Meaning they cannot have any benefit from the signing of the documents and they must not be related to you or a spouse of a relative. Many states allow for the notary to act as the witness and notarize the document, however some states strictly prohibit this. It is best to have 2 third party witnesses along with the notary in situations requiring 2 witnesses.
